I immediately knew this was related to 30 Seconds to Mars just from seeing the thumbnail in Daily Deviations. It makes me so proud to know 30 Seconds to Mars have reached so many people over the years, especially with This Is War. When I first heard "Closer to the Edge", it was the first song in a long while that had an emotional effect on me, and I just can't imagine how this band seem to outdo themselves, each and every time.
With this beautiful image, I say to you, Provehito In Altum
A band can certainly use it, but I don't see how it could be copywrited any more then one of the runes, or a letter of the alphabet. Art involving it is still property of the artist though, of course, just as if it was any other symbol or letter. I don't know if the artist is aware of the greater context of the symbol, or not, but it is lovely in any case.
Well, do forgive me my lack of knowledge in alchemical symbols. I just saw everyone talking about 30 Seconds to Mars, and while I certainly do believe that the symbol also exists on its own, I assumed that the artist in this photo wanted it to represent the logo of 30StM.
i always knew it had some symbolism the thing i never understood why hipsters liked it so much although i strongly believe they didnt knew anything about its meanings they just liked to flash that geometric shape probably just for the heck of it or to be noticed
Because they are waking up to its significance and start to apply its principles in their lives. Its the first step into the realisation of how the world we live in has been constructed. And that is the first step towards change <3
